Thank you to everyone who showed up to our annual EcoBuilding Bash this past Saturday! We had a great turnout with over 200 guests in attendance. This event is our way of celebrating reuse and our customers, while also providing home improvement tips from industry experts.
We loved meeting our guests in the lumber yard where the grill was going all day, plus Powder Hollow Brewery provided excellent local craft beer.
Our expert workshops were a huge hit and connected our customers with local businesses.
Design House 413 provided handouts on the proper ways to measure your kitchen when installing a reclaimed kitchen cabinet set.
Bird Hill Farm helped guests create their own DIY decor signs with reclaimed lumber and paint from our store.
J & R Contractors provided an informational presentation on how to use reclaimed building materials in high-efficiency new construction projects.
The Bash also featured Reuse Rockstar voting where guests could vote on their favorite reuse project, coaster making out of reclaimed tiles from our store, music and giveaways provided by The River 93.9, and free face painting from Zap Dazzle Studio. The event also featured paintings from local artist, Sylvia Favaloro, who donated 100% of the proceeds from her art sales to our outreach and education efforts!
The Center for EcoTechnology also shared information with customers about vermicomposting, energy efficiency strategies for the home, and the Solar Access program that helps lower to middle-income homeowners heat and cool their homes with renewable technology.
We can’t wait for next year’s Bash, here are some of our favorite moments from 2019:
